Lambeth Council's legal department delivers 21st century legal services

The London Borough of Lambeth is one of 14 local authorities that make up inner London, and the Legal Services department plays a pivotal role in supporting many of the Council's key services and projects. 

Having outsourced its legal services for a number of years, the department decided to provide all legal services via an in-house team.  They were also keen to implement a 'new' way of working so that staff had the ability to work from anyplace, anytime, anywhere.  Staff needed the right tools and access to reliable and up-to-date information at all times.

The Legal Services team upgraded to LexisNexis Visualfiles in 2008 and today, 70% of the department's administrative process work is completed by LexisNexis Visualfiles.  Sick leave has also been reduced by 70%.

Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania leads the way in automated grant processing

Established in 1991, the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania's goal is to increase access to legal and social justice for all Tasmanians through the provision of representation, advice and education on legal issues in an effective, efficient and economic manner.

The Commision has to maintain an outstanding level of service delivery to its customers by effectively managing a large number of grants of legal aid.  After considering a number of case management systems, the Commission selected the LexisNexis Visualfiles system as its preferred solution.
