MIDEM

MIDEM is the one stop destination for the world’s music community, providing the most valuable knowledge and connections to source business and find solutions.

  • MIDEM is the world's largest music industry trade fair, which has been held annually at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, since 1967.
  • MIDEM brings together musicians, business people, cultural policy makers and journalists from many countries. It provides a networking platform for business talks, discussing political and legal issues, and showcasing new artists, musical trends and music-related products.
  • The community is alive onsite for five days but also throughout the year on MidemWorld, the MIDEM online community.
  • MIDEM 2009 was attended by 8,000 delegates from 4,500 companies and 450 journalists, from a total of 80 countries.
  • MIDEM also acts as a venue for several awards ceremonies including the MIDEM Classical Awards (since 2005) and the NRJ Music Awards (since 2000), a prime time TV show that welcomes the world’s biggest pop stars to the Palais des Festivals the night before MIDEM begins.
  • MIDEM includes MidemNet’s cutting edge digital business conference to help professionals monetise music in the digital age.
  • MIDEM+, introduced in 2010, offers exclusive access to personal networking recommendations and customised business consulting.
